Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Chachkes Media Group LLC (“Loupe”, “we”) for using editloupe.com. By signing in, you agree to them.

1. What Loupe does

You upload the footage and script of a scene. Loupe's software, including AI models from other companies, lines up the takes with the script and makes a first cut. You can ask for changes in plain words and export the result to your editing software or as a finished video file. Loupe makes editorial choices automatically; check every cut before you rely on it.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms. Signing in happens with a link or code sent to your email; keep access to that inbox safe. Everyone you invite to your account acts under it, and you're responsible for what they do there.

3. Your footage stays yours

You keep every right you have in what you upload (footage, sound, scripts, LUTs) and in what Loupe makes from it for you (cuts, timelines, final files). You give us only the permission we need to run Loupe for you: to store, copy, process and send your material to the services listed in our Privacy Policy, solely to cut your scenes and show them to you and the people you share them with. We don't use your material to train AI models, and we don't sell it or show it to anyone else.

4. What you upload

You confirm you have the rights and the permissions (including from the people on camera) to upload your material and to have it processed this way. Don't upload anything illegal, or anything you have no right to use. We may remove material or close an account that breaks these terms.

5. Sharing

A share link lets anyone who has it watch that scene and leave notes. Turn it off at any time from the scene; it then stops working for good.

6. Prices and payment

What Loupe makes for you is paid for in credits, at the prices on our Pricing page: a scene's first cut by the footage it watches, each new version you ask for, and extras such as a score. Exporting is free. Every new account gets a one-time allowance of welcome credits. Credits come with a monthly Starter, Pro or Studio plan, and in packs. A plan's credits are for the month they come with and don't carry over to the next; credits bought in a pack don't expire. A version that fails, or a note Loupe can't act on, gives its credits back. Credits have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money except as our Refund Policy says. 4K with Topaz is paid for on its own, when you ask for it. Prices are in US dollars. Payments are handled by Stripe, which is the seller of record for these purchases and adds any sales tax or VAT that applies. Plans renew each month until you cancel, which you can do at any time from Plan and credits; the plan then ends at the close of the month you've paid for.

7. Refunds

As set out in our Refund Policy.

8. Storage

We keep your camera originals for a limited time, as set out in our Privacy Policy, and we email you before removing them. Keep your own copy of everything you upload. Cuts, timelines and proxies stay in your account until you close it.

9. Welcome credits

Versions made with welcome credits may wait in line when Loupe is busy. We may limit how many scenes an account keeps waiting for a first cut, and welcome credits are for one account per person.

10. Availability

We work hard to keep Loupe running, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that every cut will suit your scene.

11. Liability

Loupe is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost footage you didn't keep a copy of, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Changes and ending

We may update these terms and will email you about important changes before they apply. You can stop using Loupe and ask us to close your account at any time.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes are heard in the state and federal courts in New York County, New York.
